Nicola Briggs Ceramics

Contemporary Ceramics inspired by the textures from Nature
Nicola Brigg ceramics, MyArtisanMarkets 3

Nicola designs and creates hand-built contemporary ceramics inspired by the textures from nature and landscapes. Capturing the ever-changing light in her sunset photos, is the influence behind the muted colourpalette that she loves so much. Her sketches and original drawings of landscapes are then translated into her ceramic work.

Nicola Briggs Ceramics, MyArtisanMarkets 9“I like to contrast torn rims with cut edges, muted tones and flashes of metallic lustre, to satisfy my inner magpie!”Nicola Briggs Ceramics, MyArtisanMarkets 4

Nicola graduated with a BA (HONS) Design: Ceramics from Staffordshire University in 1998 and set up her first studio with the help of The Prince’s Trust. She has taken part in many craft fairs, exhibitions and shows such as The Country Style Festive Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. She has recently returned to ceramics after the youngest of her three children started school.

“I have had a new garden studio built and I’m so happy to be able to create in clay again.”

Nicola is a member of Etsy Manchester, Northern Potters Association and The
Manchester Makers Collective. She sells her work at Craft Fairs and Events throughout the North West of England.
